Soft Steels toolbar was not working because the VLX( Lisp Routines) were not loading.
The VLX weren’t loading because somehow the settings on SoftSteels profile got modified, and AutoCAD was loading on Layout Mode at start up instead of Model Space, we discover that VLXs don’t load on Layout Mode. The problem was solved by deleting SoftSteel’s profile, and letting Soft Steel recreate the profile at start up with the correct settings.
How can I Scan AutoCAD 2010 drawings?
SoftScan is able to scan 2002 drawings without AutoCAD, for newer drawings you need to have AutoCAD installed in the same computer as SoftScan. If you encounter an issue you can send the dwgs to support, support@softsteelinc.com, they will help you out with the drawings and send you the output you need.
SoftSteel VNAV is open, but it is not visible.
You can fix this issue by Changing to a higher resolution, and then moving VNAV to the middle of the screen. Then change back to original resolution.
Soft Steel is not loading correctly. SoftGiDlg.arx -> cannot find a required procedure.
The PATH and SOFTSTEELPATH variables weren’t registering correctly on the setup or it might be related to a windows security or privileges. Check the path for both variables and the admin rights. PATH=[ SOFT STEEL INSTALATION FOLDER ] \ gmi and SOFTSTEELPATH= [ SOFT STEEL INSTALATION FOLDER ]
Will this work with Windows 7? I am currently getting an error. Ive tried installing it in but it doesn't work. Any sugestions?
SoftScan will run on Windows 7, make sure that when you install the setup you right click it and select the option “Run as administrator”, you need to do the same thing to run the program once its installed. Thank you.
KSS file.Want the sequence number to be before the main shipping and not with a dash after the main shipping mark.Is this possible?
There are certain standards in the kiss file for the main mark and the sequence number and where they would appear in the kiss file and those can’t be modified but if you need a review of your files, please email us a sample drawing and the settings file you are using and we will be glad to take a look at it for you. SoftScan: Will this work with Vista? I am currently getting an error. Ive tried running it in compatibility mode, but it doesnt work. Any other way?
SoftScan will run on Windows Vista, make sure that when you install the setup you right click it and select the option “Run as administrator”, you may need to do the same thing to run the program once its installed.
SoftScan: I am trying to install the demo version i downloaded from this site but i am always being asked for the registration name and key as exactly given to me. where should i get that key?
You don’t need to enter a key use the demo, just click the “Cancel” button instead of “Enter Key”. You’ll get several demo runs of the program. If you need more afterwards, a key can be provided to you. I suggest you ask tech support for help for setting up SoftScan with your drawings, so you can make the most of your demo runs.
